This past month I did something that I should have done a long time ago. I launched my own KickStarter and Indiegogo campaigns. They are not real campaigns but were meant to give me a better understanding of all the steps required for launching campaigns. The process was a simple one, however what came after the launch of my campaign is something I really did not expect. The amount of spam that I have received from marketing and promotional companies was simply unreal and frustrating!  Now I understand why so many campaigners have trust issues when I talk to them.

At first donations  CrowdFunding doesn’t seem to make much sense. Not profits have been funding themselves from the crowd for a very long time. Every time Red Cross asks you for money through mail or you get a telemarketer asking for donations, that’s a form of crowdfunding. Non-Profit industry in the U.S. is a $300 Billion market, that’s almost 10 times larger than the Venture Capital industry.
