September 29, 2021

As of early September 2021, El Salvador became the first country to make Bitcoin legal tender! Of
course, there are both pros and cons to this, and of course, many kinks to iron out before we can tell
for sure if it’s viable.
So for now, Bitcoin probably won’t become legal tender in the US anytime soon. However, it’s
becoming more popular as a payment method, with even Bitcoin ATMs cropping up all over the
place!
Interested in using one? Then read on to find out the states where you’ll find Bitcoin ATMs and more!
States to Find Bitcoin ATMs In
Today, there are over 24,600 crypto ATMs in service in North America! The majority of them are in
the US; around 17,400 are in our nation.
What’s interesting is they’re not all run by one company. For instance, there are many run
by www.bytefederal.com, but you can bet they have many competitors!
The good news is, because there are so many Bitcoin ATMs, you can find at least one in all major
cities! So instead of getting a big list, just assume that you can find an ATM for Bitcoin in all 50
states.
How to Use a Bitcoin ATM

Using a Bitcoin ATM is very easy, especially if you already have a Bitcoin wallet. If you don’t though,
don’t fret. Some of these kiosks are able to generate a new paper wallet so you can buy Bitcoin
spontaneously if you want!
Do note that whether you buy or sell bitcoin, you’ll have to pay some fees, which are a bit higher
than normal online exchanges.
Buying Bitcoin
To buy bitcoin, you’ll want to first select the amount on the screen. Then, scan the QR code for your
cryptocurrency wallet app if you have one. Otherwise, the kiosk will print a paper wallet for you to
scan.
To pay, you can either feed the machine cash or a card (debit or credit). After hitting “confirm”, the
transaction should be complete in a matter of minutes!
Selling Bitcoin
Selling bitcoin is a similar process.
You’ll first scan your Bitcoin wallet QR code so the machine has access to your balance. You’ll then
select how much you want to sell.
Once the transaction’s confirmed, you’ll receive cash in hand! This can be handy if you need cash
quickly and have some extra bitcoin to sell.
Start Buying and Selling Bitcoin Today
Now that you know how widespread Bitcoin ATMs are, it can be a great way to get started with
cryptocurrency. Even if you already have crypto, these Bitcoin ATMs can be interesting to use. Not
to mention, they’re a fantastic way to get quick cash, or even purchase gift cards and gold!
So stop reading about it and get yourself to a Bitcoin kiosk. See firsthand just what this technology
